MCD Global Health works in the realm of both global and public health and is a National Public Health Institute.
Since 1966, our U.S. Division has worked to be a transforming force in public health in Maine and across the U.S., earning a reputation for responsive health initiatives that make an impact. These initiatives include: workforce development, staffing the public health workforce, capacity building, oral health, substance misuse, virtual health and technology, eLearning, and others.
Since 1977, our International Division has worked and expanded across several health areas in providing high-quality, cost-effective, accessible, and enduring interventions to improve the health and well-being of people around the world. These areas include: malaria, HIV/AIDS, reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health, cervical cancer, sanitation and hygiene, institutional strengthening, and performance-based financing.
