Annual School Oral Health Program Poster Contest Accepting Submissions
An SOHP field consultant performs an oral health screening.
February is National Children’s Dental Health Month! To celebrate, the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)’s School Oral Health Program (SOHP) is proud to host its annual poster contest. Submissions will be accepted throughout February from Maine school students in pre-K through sixth grade.
Students are challenged to create an illustrated poster on what oral health means to them based on this year’s theme, Spruce Up Your Oral Health!
One winner will be selected from each of the four contest brackets: pre-K and kindergarten, grades first through second, grades third through fourth, and grades fifth through sixth. Winners will receive an oral health prize basket that includes an electric toothbrush, floss, reading material, toothpaste, and more.
The deadline for poster submissions is by 3 p.m. Monday, March 3. Please read the details and rules for the contest (PDF).
For poster submissions or contest questions, please contact Chantelle Roddy, SOHP program coordinator, via email at SOHP@mcd.org.
Public voting will take place in the first week of March, and winners will be notified by Monday, March 12.
