Paul Neumann retired after serving 12 years as the general counsel and executive vice president for Trinity Health, a nonprofit health care system with 94 hospitals and 120 continuing care facilities in 22 states. At Trinity Health, he created and oversaw an integrated legal department of 65 attorneys that provided legal services to Trinity's provider network.
Prior to joining Trinity Health, he served for 10 years as the general counsel and senior vice president for Legal Services at Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI). Paul started his legal career with Foley & Lardner LLP, where he worked for 10 years in the area of health care business and corporate law
He serves on the boards of Mercy Housing, the largest provider of affordable housing in the U.S., and assists Project Our Town, a Colorado nonprofit that creates opportunities for individuals to volunteer for a variety of projects. He has authored more than 30 articles in publications, such as Inside Health Law (Aspen Publishers), Health Care Law Newsletter (Matthew Bender & Co.) and HFMA Profile. He graduated from the University of Virginia Law School and received a bachelor's degree from Haverford College.
