Michael “Mike” Holper retired after 27 years as the senior vice president and system compliance officer for Trinity Health, a nonprofit national healthcare system with 94 hospitals and 120 continuing care facilities in 22 states. At Trinity Health, Mike was responsible for executive leadership of the systemwide compliance and internal audit programs designed to ensure that operations were conducted in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.

Prior to Trinity Health, Mike worked for 10 years at Ernst & Young where he was responsible for leading all aspects of independent financial statement audits for clients in the healthcare and life sciences industries.

Mike is an experienced advisor to health system boards of directors and compliance and audit committees and a frequent national speaker on healthcare compliance and internal auditing topics. He received a master’s in health law from Loyola University Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Marian University Indianapolis.
