Jennifer Morton serves as associate professor and program director of the School of Nursing and Population Health at the University of New England. The school is home to two pre-licensure nursing program options and an undergraduate public health program. In addition to leading over 20 full-time faculty and staff, she also oversees all of the academic programming in the school. The University of New England is known for its approaches to Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice and toward that end, nursing students are prepared to practice in team-oriented environments dedicated to safe-evidenced based care.
For over 15 years, Jennifer has led health professions students and faculty in a cultural immersion in health care experience as a partnership with the Ghana Health Service and the University of Cape Coast in the western region of Ghana. This robust, trust-based collaboration has provided health care and related services to local urban and rural communities while training students from all three organizations.
