CEO & President
Cristine Betters brings over two decades of experience in public health and international development, with a proven track record of excellence and innovation at global, regional, and local levels.
She has held pivotal roles at leading organizations, such as Pact, Abt Global (formerly Abt Associates), and Malaria Consortium. Her achievements include securing over $1 billion in funding and overseeing portfolios exceeding $400 million. Cristine’s experience ranges from rural grant making for a U.S. family foundation to leadership roles driving groundbreaking initiatives, including scaling novel malaria prevention protocols and managing USAID’s largest health award in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
She earned her academic credentials from Columbia University, with master's degrees in international affairs and public health, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami. She is fluent in English and French and based in Washington, D.C.
