The Equatorial Guinea Malaria Vaccine Initiative (EGMVI) Consortium that MCDI is a part of successfully vaccinated the first volunteers in the second clinical trial of the PfSPZ Vaccine in Equatorial Guinea earlier this week. The vaccinations were conducted at the Baney Temporary Research Facility. The trial is noteworthy because the majority of its funding comes from the Government of Equatorial Guinea through a production-sharing agreement with Marathon Oil.
