As part of the activities of the MCDI Equatorial Guinea Cervical Cancer Screening and Treatment Project (EG-CCST), a training of trainers' workshop on Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid and use of Cold Coagulation for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cervical Pre-Cancerous Lesions was held from February 27 to March 3, 2017 in Malabo Regional Hospital, Equatorial Guinea. 26 gynecologists, medical doctors, midwives and nurses from Malabo and Bata Hospitals as well as officials from the National Reproductive Health Program were trained. The workshop was opened by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare Secretary of State, Dr. Daniel Sima with participation of national dignitaries, WHO, UNFPA, MCDI and Noble Energy representatives. The workshop was facilitated by MCDI and Grounds for Health experts.
