Dear Medical Care Development Staff,

Congratulations on winning the 2019 P3 Impact Award for your work on the Bioko Island Malaria Elimination Project in Equatorial Guinea! I'm so proud that your Maine-based global public health organization has been recognized for the leadership you provide both at home and across the world.

For generations, families on Bioko Island have lived with the risk of losing loved ones to the scourge of mosquito-borne malaria, which was the primary cause of death among children. Businesses and community leaders both recognized the crippling effects this disease was having and set out to address root causes, with great success. Your work in addressing malaria in Equatorial Guinea will help to create a stronger strategy for the rest of Africa as we work to eradicate and control malaria across the globe.

We're lucky that the work of your leading public-private partnerships is felt not only on the global stage, but the community right outside our doors. Even with a presence in 23 countries and 40 states, you're still working to improve health outcomes right here in Maine with your emphasis on rural health care. I know I'm grateful for the impact you have on Mainers every day.

Thank you so much for your hard work, and again, congratulations on this great award!

Congratulations,
