Free CME Webinar Opportunity
January 8, 2026
In August 2025, MCD Global Health and the American College of Preventive Medicine co-hosted a free, CME-accredited webinar for health care professionals. The webinar, Disability-inclusive Preventive Screenings: Implementation Tools for Practitioners, demonstrates how health care professionals can make preventive health screenings, such as for breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer and osteoporosis, more inclusive and accommodating for people with disabilities.
The recording is available to watch for free on MCD Learn, MCD's eLearning hub, for 1.0 CME credit. Viewers who do not need CME credit can watch on YouTube.
The webinar covers common barriers people with disabilities face during preventive screenings, practical accommodation strategies, and introduces an adaptable implementation plan with clinical guidance.
The session was developed and facilitated by MCD’s Screening for All project team: Program Manager Korey Pow Haggerty, MPH, and Associate Program Manager Brooke Cruz. It was co-presented by Dr. Tisha Titus, MPH, a double board-certified physician with lived experience of disability, and Latisha Brown, a self- and disability rights advocate who shares her experiences navigating preventive health screenings as an African-American woman with cerebral palsy, demonstrating the importance of collaborative planning and disability-inclusive care approaches.
