Medical Care Development (MCD), Inc., a Maine based health services organization, is seeking a talented professional to serve as a Program Manager for our mental health services division. MCD is a nonprofit agency serving the elderly and adults with mental health challenges and other disabilities. Medical Care Development (MCD), Inc., a Maine based health services organization, is seeking a talented professional to serve as a Team Leader for our mental health services division. MCD is a nonprofit agency serving the elderly and adults with mental health challenges and other disabilities. This full-time leadership position is based in Bucksport, Maine and has limited supervisory responsibilities for 6 residents and general oversight of direct care staff. Regular rotation providing after hours on-call supervision of organization wide clinical and administrative services is required.
The Team Leader provides day-to-day supervision of direct care staff and handles employee performance issues with referral and assistance from the Program Manager. This position is responsible for coordinating safe staffing schedules for adequate facility coverage and assists with minimal administrative tasks related to facility expenses and resident spending accounts. The Team Leader helps train and orients new direct care staff to the facility and has oversight of all medication administration practices and procedures. This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the implementation of recreational, social outings and activities for residents.
The Team Leader coordinates and provides appropriate services, care, and supervision to each resident individually and to the group as a whole under the direction of the Program Manager and the Clinical Supervisor. This position works closely with guardians and approved outside agencies to ensure the provision of quality services and is responsible for coordinating and transporting residents to medical, psychiatric and other off-site appointments as needed. This position assists in the intake and discharge of residents, maintains resident clinical records and provides assistance and support to clients and staff in the event of a crisis situation.
